Accepted Payment Methods
Online, we accept Paypal. Alternatively, we also accept cash and credit card payments in person. We are flexible with payments, just talk to us and tell me what would work for you and we will try to make it work on our end as well.
Please note, no goat can ever be picked up until payment in full is made. No exceptions.
Any doelings and bucklings born here will go pre-registered with ADGA.
We do not offer registration papers with wethers.
Reserving a kid
You can click on "reserve now" button, fill out the form and submit it. Once the kid from your reservation is born, we will contact the first person that made the reservation with pictures, price and other information. If we don't hear back from you within 24 hours, we will move on to the next person and you forfeit your place on the list.
We understand this is a short time frame, and that is why we advice you to leave your phone number along with your email, as we will send you a text letting you know you have an email from us.
If you decide to take the kid, we will need a non-refundable deposit to hold the goat for you. This deposit must be made within 24h or another mutually agreed upon time frame. We're flexible with this, and if you are unable to make a deposit within 24h let us know and we will try to find a date that works for both you and us.
If your reservation isn't filled that year because we did not have availability, you will have to contact us to be on the list for next year, we don't carry reservations from one year to the next.
You're welcome to contact us at any time to inquire about your place on the reservations list.
We reserve the right to retain any kid from any breeding.
Bottle feeding a kid
Unless there is a reason for it, we let the does raise the kids. We spend hours everyday with the baby goats and we make sure they are socialized before they leave!
If you're interested in a bottle fed kid, we can start the bottle feeding process for you, as long as the kid isn't older than one week old and you can pick up the kid when she/he is ready. We do require a full payment to be made before we start bottle feeding the kid, as we have an unpredictable schedule and we might have to leave for a day or two, so we need to make sure you are serious about taking the kid!
Picking up a kid
Kids have to be picked up within 1 week of being weaned. Kids typically wean anywhere between 8 to 12 weeks. If for whatever reason this time frame doesn't work for you, just let us know, and we can find another mutually agreed upon time frame.
If the kid doesn't get picked up within 1 week of being weaned, the buyer will forfeit the right to buy the kid, and the kid will be again for sale or will be retained. The deposit will not be refunded, but will be considered a credit to your account and you can apply it to the purchase of any goat we have for sale within 2 years of the date of when the deposit was made.
We are flexible, and we understand things happen, but we do need exceptions to be communicated to us so that a different plan can be arranged between both parties.
Adult goats for sale
Sometimes we do sell some of our breeding stock. If you see any goat you are interested in, you're welcome to inquire.
The only goat we anticipate never selling is Bluebird Pond Frieda. Frieda is our herd leader, and not just any leader! One that is gentle with the other goats and maintains her status by personality and not by force. She is also beautiful and is the exact model of behavior and personality we would like all of our goats to be. As you can tell, we are quite attached to her!
Buying a pregnant goat
We're unlikely to sell a goat that we decided to breed with the intents of having her kid here. However, if you are interested in any of our adult does bred to any of our bucks, you're welcome to inquire and see if we can breed her for you. Please understand that not all buck/doe combinations are a good match and we might restrict who does a certain doe breed with in order to improve the kids.
To help maintaining a disease free herd, we don't lease our bucks and we don't do any driveway breeding.
We provide excellent care to our goats! However, once the goat is out of our hands, it is your responsibility to give the goat the best possible care to maintain her/him healthy and happy.
If there is no reason to choose differently, we will contact people based on who put in the reservation first. However, there are a few instances where we might let goats go to someone that did not reserve first.
A couple of reasons for this would be, for example, someone taking more than one goat. This would make the transition easier for the goats.
Another reason would be believing that a certain home is a perfect fit for a specific goat. For example, a home that bottle feeds VS dam raises. Some of our does would be heartbroken if not allowed to raise their kids, while others wouldn't mind as much.
Another reason would be that we might be selling what we believe to be potentially an amazing show animal, and in that case it makes sense to prioritize a goat that will show, so that the goat is able to show its full potential.
We just try to find the best possible fit for the goat so that she/he has a better chance of being happy. Again, unless there are exceptions, we do go by whoever reserved first.
